Session:

Does the Broader Infrastructure Matter When Scaling VMware Infrastructure 3 Servers?

Presenter:

Cisco

As IT managers increase the scale, mobility and business-critical nature of their server virtualization deployments, is there a need to re-think the design and provisioning of the underlying network, storage and security infrastructure? To ensure the performance, availability and security of the hosted virtual machine applications, do server managers require tighter coordination between VMware Infrastructure 3 and the adjacent firewall, server load balancer, and layer 2 security services? In this session, Cisco will discuss the design, provisioning and management of data center infrastructures required to best address these emerging VMware Infrastructure 3 requirements. Cisco will also introduce its exciting new service orchestration solution, VFrame Data Center. This Cisco product optimizes data center virtualization by coordinating between VMware Infrastructure 3 and the supporting infrastructure.
