Geared towards participants who want to gain a better understanding of the physical to virtual server migration methodology, this lab steps you through the installation of VMware Converter and the migration processes of converting a physical server to a virtual machine. This lab focuses on hot cloning methodologies (local/remote), but other methodologies (cold/image conversions) will be available for trial during the lab session. If time permits, participants can discuss VMware Converter best practices and troubleshooting techniques with our lab instructors (in the green room annex). At the conclusion of the lab session, participants can copy the lab material to their own thumb drives.
