Session:

Virtualization of Remote Sites

Presenter:

VMware

This session will help attendees understand the rationale for virtualizing remote sites. The term remote sites covers a wide range of facilities, including retail sites, grocery stores, manufacturing plants, call centers, branch offices, warehouses and the like. While these sites have some elements in common, they are also notable for their differences. Understanding the options available is critical to architecting a solution that addresses the varying requirements. This session will discuss the options available for virtualizing remote sites, including the advantages / disadvantages of each, which environments are best suited for each option, as well as the architectural considerations for each option. As part of this session, we will review case studies of companies that have virtualized or are currently virtualizing their remote sites to learn from their experience.
