Managing the End-to-End VMware ESX Server Environment using EMC ControlCenterPresenter:
EMCVirtualization has become a prolific trend in information lifecycle management recently driving utilization rates and other operational efficiencies throughout the data center. However, at some point one must go beyond the virtual layer and be able to manage the physical hardware and connections that lie deep beneath the virtualization layer. No where is this more evident then when managing storage attached to a VMware ESX Server. VMware Infrastructure 3 delivers an incredible ability to manage the virtual environment, but it is still necessary to use multiple 3rd party tools to create storage array devices, map and mask them to array ports, and finally create and manage zones within the fibre channel fabric. EMC ControlCenter now extends best-of-breed discovery, provisioning, reporting, and overall management for VMware ESX Server host and guest servers.
