The Green Grid's Recommended Best Practices for Data Center Energy EfficiencyPresenter:
Green GridThe Green Grid is a global consortium of companies dedicated to advancing energy efficiency in data centers and computing ecosystems. The Green Grid does not endorse any vendor-specific products or solutions and seeks to provide industry-wide recommendations on best practices, metrics and technologies that will improve overall data center energy efficiencies. In this session, The Green Grid will discuss a framework for improving the energy efficiency of both new and existing data centers. The nature of data center energy consumption will be reviewed and best practices will be suggested that can significantly impact operational efficiencies. The Green Grid will review energy improvements that can be made from both an equipment-planning perspective and an operational-practices perspective for both IT and physical infrastructure (power, cooling, rack, security, fire suppression, and monitoring) devices.
