Session:

VMware Environments and Storage Virtualization - A Comprehensive Approach

Presenter:

FalconStor

One of the most complex issues facing virtualized data centers is the protection and rapid recovery of VMware environments from a single VM to an entire site. Backups are fine, but they are often slow to recover and only provide a once a day recovery point. For most 24x7 environments, like Exchange, this is insufficient. There needs to be a way to more rapidly restore entire systems, individual files, and for some, individual messages.
In this session, we will discuss five different failure scenarios ranging from storage loss to an entire site disaster and how VMware environments can be protected. We will also discuss P2V and V2V scenarios and how to leverage VMware software to maximize availability for both the data center and remote office environments. We will provide insight on how to create an integrated, comprehensive data protection strategy, and we will drill into special considerations for getting faster, rapid recovery for Exchange and Notes environments including recovery for messages, mailboxes and full systems.
