Tips and Tricks - Disaster Recovery in a BoxPresenter:
VMwareMany business, large and small, deal with how to handle disaster recovery planning within a tight budget and minimal resources. This presentation offers a solution with an architectural design that will enable a scalable solution using several VMware Infrastructure components.
Designing and architecting any DR solution correctly will require careful thought and planning. The concept of DR-in-a-box is similar to Datacenter-in-a-box. The solution implements an enclosed rack with specific hardware and software components to ensure success.
In many cases, matching IT resources to business needs for a DR solution is a risk. Staffing, equipment, software and time all impose constraints that can limit the solution.
We propose an option that can reuse hardware from your P2V migrations with some additional components to create a solution that can be easily created and tested. This option can easily be scaled for small to large-scale sites.
