The following provides important registration information:

Alumni
You are recognized as a VMworld Alumnus if you have attended at least two out of the last seven conferences. You will receive this discount automatically if you register with the email address you used for your last VMworld registration.

This discount applies when three or more people from the same company register at the same time, using one credit card.

Student/Faculty
This discounted pricing is provided automatically if you register with a valid ".edu" email address, regardless of the date you register. If you do not have an ".edu" email address, please email or fax a copy of your course schedule or school/faculty ID to 203-831-8471 for verification. Cancellations and Changes

Registration Cancellations

  • All cancellations must be received in writing via email.
  • For a full refund, cancellations must be received by close of business on June 25, 2010.
  • Cancellations received between June 26, 2010 and close of business August 6, 2010, will receive a 50% refund.
  • No refunds will be given after August 6, 2010.
  • Credit will be returned in the form that payment was received. I.e.: Payment by check will be returned in the form of a check.

Hotel Cancellations

You can cancel your hotel reservations directly through the registration system by logging on to your account and selecting Edit Hotel Reservation. On August 3 you will receive a final hotel confirmation, which will include the instructions for contacting the hotel directly in order to avoid a one-night cancellation fee. Changing Payment Method

All requests to change the payment method used for a completed registration will incur a $50 change fee. If you need to make a change, please contact the VMworld Registration Team at 1-800-365-2459 (US and Canada only) or Email registration support.

Editing registration information once it has been submitted

Access your registration by going to vmworld.com/registration.jspa. You will need the Username and Password you created to log in. You can then edit your personal profile and make changes to your hotel reservations. You will be required to wait approximately four weeks before you can access your hotel reservation once it has been submitted.

Substitutions

Substitution requests must be received via email from the original attendee requesting a cancellation of his/her registration, and include the name of the person who will be taking his/her place as well as their email address. There is no fee for substitutions.

Registering on behalf of someone else

You may register on behalf of another person as long as all information is completed. Please make sure you have full contact details and credit card information before beginning the registration process.

VMware's right to deny registration

VMware reserves the right to deny registration to any individual or entity for any reason, in VMware's sole discretion, including for past or present failure to meet VMware's standards of conduct (including, but not limited to, engaging in violent, illegal, threatening, or discriminatory conduct).
