I thought that a little planning ahead and preparation by looking for alternate forms of transportation would have helped but now I feel it is a mistake.
Granted I may save a little bit of money but it is wasted in time. The monorail is routed in the worst possible locations and only serves the casino. Trying to find the monorail in any Hotel is nothing less than pure luck or magic. Signs maybe clearly marked for the monorail but it leads you into a winding maze throughout the entire casino and hotel and then shops before leading you to a sign-less dead end that may or may not lead you to the monorail.It's clear that the monorail was a good idea but once the hotels got a hold of it they simply ruined it and made it so inconvenient to use that you are better off walking or taking taxis. It is also common place to find many of the escalators broken(normally not an issue but we are talking multiple stories to board at some stops here) Just take a look at any of the boarding stations and you notice how oddly protected the access is to and from the monorail loading platforms.
The most telling sign that it truly is a complete failure is that not a single local person or employee takes it. Its almost comical how bad the layout is and the obvious fact that anyone and everyone riding it does not know where to exit once the get off the train. Its always like a bunch of sheep following each other around hunting for the escape route which albeit well marked it not always intuitive.
I would not suggest the monorail to anyone who has trouble walking no less than 5 miles a day. It is not convenient at all and does
