But, it all pass thru VC, so you either need to give permissions to users of the virtual machines to read data in VC or build credentials into your powershell scripts. You may want to post to the VMware Communities to reach a wider audience.

Re: VMWare ESXi installation CD failure - Error code 22

Heather,

What software are you using to burn the ISO to cd/dvd? Also, what size is the ISO file you downloaded? Per the VMW download web page:

ESXi 4.0 Update 1 Installable (CD ISO)
File size: 353 MB
File type: .iso
MD5SUM: 7d91e82b2cfb825911bd60a9b28b6bc2
SHA1SUM: acdcc2b68b673075477b5efef49403059c216fa8

If your ISO image matches up with that, I would look into a differnet burning software. One that I've used for many years with great success is a freeware product called ImgBurn. http://www.imgburn.com/

Hope that helps!

I believe the last time I went I stayed at the hilton which is a few blocks away but it was actually a nice walk through the area. Wait until it gets closer they usually have rate packages for the VMworld attendees and it will save you a few bucks or get you a nicer room at a better rate.
